5 Kingdom Street is a 700,000 sq ft commercial office scheme, bookending the development of Paddington Central campus adjacent to Paddington Station.
The building proposes 18 levels of large, flexible commercial office floorplates topped with a spacious and protected roof terrace with outstanding views. Bound by an elevated carriageway, a bridge and railway tracks, the design offers a new local landmark but focuses on community integration and vitalisation. The ground level provides a new route between the neighbourhood to the north and the campus, with a triple-height winter garden en route. Below the building, the scheme transforms the former Crossrail logistics area into ‘The Box’, providing 80,000 sq ft of flexible space for affordable workspace, leisure, food and events.
