Built to front the Commercial Union and P&O towers in the 1970s, St Helen’s Square is an oasis within London’s Eastern Cluster. As the Leadenhall Building replaced the former P&O building, the connection between the new Public Space and St Helen’s Square is a key part of the public realm strategy for the area. Acting on behalf of British Land and Oxford Properties, M3 has worked closely with the City of London, and freeholder and tenants for St Helen’s tower since early conception, managing the complex negotiation and agreement of the design brief and design development, procurement and delivery of the successful planning process.
