The Paddington Gateway Building is both a landmark and a lynchpin for the complex and vibrant Paddington Central campus. Anchored on a constrained corner site, the building introduces a 185-room, 19-storey hotel along with public amenities at its base and four upper levels.

M3 was initially commissioned to undertake a feasibility study for the site comprising the existing management office and lift access structure. The study led to a solution that brings new vibrant functions to Paddington.  Through innovative spatial and technical design, it rationalises the existing loading area for the development; improves pedestrian movement on multiple levels with retail and leisure; realigns the entrance from Bishops Bridge Road; and addresses underground and railway-related constraints.
