High street vacancy worst since 2015

According to the British Retail Consortium and Springboard survey, the national town centre vacancy rate was 10.3%, the highest since January 2015.  High street footfall fell by 2.7%, with a three-month average decline of 4%,

 

The three month average for shopping centre footfall was also negative, at -3%.  Footfall for retail parks however increased by 1.2% in July, with a three month average increase of 0.2%.
