Brexit draft agreement finalised

Theresa May has announced an agreed draft Brexit deal with a key point of contention regarding the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland is addressed by keeping the whole of the UK in the customs union until "... a subsequent agreement becomes applicable".   In financial markets, UK has been given similar level of access as the US and Japan. EU citizens rights have been protected during the transition period.


A number of cabinet members including the Brexit secretary Dominic Raab has resigned over the draft deal.  The intention is for Parliament to vote on the deal before Christmas.  Read the full draft agreement here>
