Housing minister Raab replaces Davis as Brexit secretary

Dominic Raab, MP for Esher and Walton has been appointed Brexit secretary following the resignation of David Davis on Sunday.  Davis and junior Brexit minister Steve Baker resigned over the plan agreed by the Cabinet last Friday.  

 

Raab is replaced with Kit Malthouse, MP for North West Hampshire, who has served as the undersecretary for family, support, housing and child maintenance at the Department for Work and Pensions.

 

Boris Johnson, the foreign secretary, has also resigned and has been replaced by Jeremy Hunt.
