Budget doubles Housing Infrastructure Fund

In the Government's aim to address the housing crisis, the Budget contains a range of measures that includes increasing the Housing Infrastructure Fund to £5bn, removing stamp duty for first time buyers for properties up to £300K, and increasing the Affordable Homes Programme to £9.1bn.  The HCA will be renamed Homes England, which will have greater investment and planning powers.
